Business Development Director – Water/Wastewater
Location: Tampa, Florida We are seeking an experienced Business Development Director to lead growth across the Florida Water/Wastewater market. This individual will be responsible for developing key client relationships, identifying and qualifying opportunities, and leading capture and pursuit strategies from initial engagement through award.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute regional W/WW business development strategies. Build relationships with municipal owners, engineers, OEMs and industry partners. Identify, qualify and prioritize new project opportunities. Lead capture planning, Go/No-Go decisions and pursuit strategy. Coordinate proposals, interviews and positioning with operations, preconstruction and marketing teams. Track market intelligence, capital improvement programs and competitor activity. Maintain an accurate opportunity pipeline and CRM.Represent the business at client meetings and industry events. Mentor and support regional business development staff.
Requirements: 10+ years of business development, engineering or construction experience. Strong background in water/wastewater construction or engineering. Understanding of W/WW treatment processes, technologies and project delivery methods. Proven track record developing client relationships and winning projects. Strong knowledge of the Florida/Southeast W/WW market preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Marketing or related discipline preferred. Strong communication, leadership and commercial skills. This is a senior growth position offering the opportunity to lead market strategy and develop a significant pipeline of water and wastewater projects throughout the region.
