About the role

Plans machining by studying work orders, Verifies blueprints, materials, specifications, reference planes, locations of surfaces, andmachining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).Sets-up lathes/mills by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, and compensation; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving first part. Sets-up lathes/mills by adjusting collets, three-jaw chucks, and/or vise jaws, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, stops, and stockpushers or pullers. Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces; adhering to WIKA standards. Maintains specifications by observing CNC tools, sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance proceduresand processes. Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshootingmalfunctions. Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Documents actions by completing production and quality logs. Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities toadd value to job accomplishments. Assist mechanics and machinists in repair work. Performs ancillaryduties as required
