What You Will Be Doing:
Design and conduct laboratory-scale experiments to develop and improve chemical processes, including reactions involving specialized equipment and varying production scales.
Help move new or improved products from the laboratory toward manufacturing by supporting scale-up, implementation, and troubleshooting activities.
Evaluate laboratory and production information to understand process performance and recommend practical improvements.
Partner with manufacturing and technical teams to investigate chemistry-related issues and help identify effective solutions.
Contribute to technical projects through documentation, presentations, team meetings, training, and ongoing project communication.
What You Will Bring:
Advanced education in Chemistry or a related discipline, or a bachelor's/master's degree combined with substantial industry experience.
Hands-on experience developing chemical processes, performing synthesis, or improving manufacturing processes in an industrial environment.
Familiarity with organic/industrial chemistry and reaction systems; experience involving fatty acids, hydrogenation, amines, or elevated-pressure processes is a plus.
Ability to work safely with chemicals and laboratory equipment while maintaining a strong commitment to safe operating practices.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and data interpretation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and operational teams.
6+ month contract opportunity with potential for extension.
