ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Review documentation / work orders, production instructions and engineering specifications* Set up for tests including but not limited to:* Move product / reels within work areas including lower and upper mill* Load / manage payoff and take up machines* Strip cables and attach appropriate test equipment* Perform appropriate tests, operate equipment and interpret results* Rewind, cap, and prep reels for shipping* Monitor / verify process* Operate fork truck and other product moving equipment, change propane cylinders* Identify and report non-conformities or defects to appropriate personnel* Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives* Comply with safety, environmental, and company policies and procedures at all times* Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE QUALIFICATIONS* Experience in a manufacturing or testing environment, preferably in the wire and cable industry* Familiarity with quality control principles and inspection techniques, is a plus* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications, is preferred Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.
