CHILDCARE ATTENDANT
Reports To: Director Youth Services Department: Childcare Status Type: Part-Time, Hourly Salary: $14.50 POSITION OVERVIEWThe Childcare Attendant is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children in the Mission Hills Country Club's (MHCC) on-site childcare facility. Childcare Attendants ensure children are supervised, cared for, and engaged in age-appropriate activities and camps while their parents participate in fitness, tennis and other club-sponsored activities. Childcare Attendants availability should include evenings, holidays, school breaks, and summer break. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESSafety and Cleanliness Maintains a clean, organized, and hazard-free child care environment. Completes daily opening/closing tasks and procedures checklist. Follows all health and safety regulations, including proper hygiene and sanitation practices. Child Supervision and Care Supervises and monitors children at all times to ensure their safety and well-being. Provides attentive care tailored to the needs of each child. Fosters a positive and inclusive atmosphere while adhering to company and regulatory standards for child care services. Activity Coordination Engages with children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and socialization. Encourages participation in activities such as arts and crafts, storytelling, games, and play. Communication Provides regular updates to parents/guardians on their child's progress and behavior. Communicates incidents, concerns, or milestones in a timely and professional manner. Administrative Tasks Maintain accurate records, including attendance, incident reports, and emergency contacts. Assist in enforcing company policies and state licensing requirements for child care operations. EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONSEducation and Experience
Minimum age: 15 years old. CPR, First Aid, AED certification (or able to certify within 90 days of employment).Previous experience working in child care, education, or a related field is preferred but not required. Familiarity with child development stages and care needs. Creative, organized and detail-oriented.
COMPETENCIES: Customer service and communication skills with members and team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a dynamic environment. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children. Able to take direction and lead activities.
