About the role

Overview As Director of People & Culture you will lead people strategies that align with Wesley Life’s mission, focusing on culture-building, wellbeing, compliance and total rewards. You’ll partner with CPCO and operations to scale HR capabilities, mentor a high-performance team, and guide leaders on performance, engagement and people practices. Your work shapes the employee experience across the organization and supports budget-aligned labor and benefits decisions. This role offers strategic influence, cross-functional collaboration, and the chance to drive meaningful change in a health-focused senior living setting. Responsibilities Lead delivery of team member and leadership support to shape a culture that attracts, retains and grows people Partner with organizational leadership to build HR capabilities through metrics, systems, communication and training Provide hands-on management and mentorship of the People & Culture team Act as internal consultant on strategies, performance management, employee relations, compliance and legal issues Establish compliance auditing and monitoring across the organization Complete and report HR KPIs (retention, engagement, salary and benefits expenses, efficiency)Collaborate with CPCO and operations on labor management, benefits and related costs to meet budgets Plan, deliver and report engagement and culture-building efforts across Wesley Life Advocate for practices that positively impact the work experience Lead onboarding, performance management, leave management, rewards management at NSCParticipate in budget planning Contribute to culture committee initiatives and broader people initiatives Key requirements 6+ years of leadership experience in human resources Exceptional working knowledge of employment regulations, compliance, employee relations and total rewards Strong communication with all levels of staff and leadership Ability to advise leaders on people practices and champion change Advanced project management skills Strong data analytics experience to inform HR practicesinterpersonal skillsability to influence and negotiatechange championHR core competencies (employment regulations, compliance, employee relations, total rewards)data analytics for HRproject management
