About the role
- Provide prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecologic care
- Support labor and delivery coverage in collaboration with supervising physicians
- Perform obstetric triage and postpartum evaluations
- Assist in the operating room as needed
- Deliver patient education and counseling related to pregnancy, reproductive health, and wellness
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adherence to evidence-based best practices
- Promote compassionate, patient-centered care throughout all stages of treatment
- Training and/or Experience Required
- Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) with current North Carolina licensure or eligibility
- Board Certification through the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB)
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nurse Midwifery from an accredited program
- Current RN and CNM licensesDEA License eligible
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification requiredACLS certification preferred
- Previous CNM or Labor & Delivery experience required
- Strong communication skills and commitment to collaborative, patient-centered care
