About the role
About DobcoDobco is a New Jersey-based General Contractor with more than 35 years of experience delivering complex commercial, institutional, educational, and government construction projects. We currently have 27+ active projects throughout Northern and Central New Jersey, ranging from approximately $30 million to $250 million. We are looking for experienced Superintendents who want to be hands-on and take ownership of their projects from start to finish.
Position Overview:
The Construction Superintendent will oversee all day-to-day field operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and according to plans and specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily field operations and overall jobsite activities
- Coordinate subcontractors, trades, and site personnel
- Maintain project schedules and coordinate upcoming work
- Conduct daily and weekly site meetings
- Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals
- Monitor quality and ensure work is completed according to project requirements
- Coordinate inspections and address issues in the field
- Work closely with Project Managers and Project Executives
- Maintain a safe and organized jobsite
- Provide hands-on leadership throughout all phases of construction
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent
- Experience with commercial, institutional, educational, or government construction
- Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and sequencing
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong subcontractor and field management skillsOSHA 30 preferred
- Procore experience a plus
