Equipment Operator/CDL Driver Envision Benefits Group is currently recruiting on behalf of our client, who has an immediate need for an experienced full-time Equipment Operator/CDL Driver to support their electrical construction and service crews. For more than 35 years, they have served commercial and residential clients throughout Buffalo and Western New York, earning the trust of developers, general contractors, property managers, and homeowners who demand precision every time. In this role, you will operate and transport company equipment, assist with job site logistics, maintain equipment records, and help keep our fleet safe, reliable, and ready to support field You'll Do • Operate company equipment on electrical construction and service projects, including mini excavators, dozers, loaders, skid steers, trenchers, and other equipment as needed, on active excavation and site development job sites. • Perform excavation, trenching, backfilling, grading, material handling, and site restoration activities in accordance with project requirements and safety standards. • Support underground installation. • Read and interpret grade stakes, site plans, and grade sheets. • Safely transport equipment, materials, and attachments between the yard and job sites. • Load, unload, transport, and organize materials, equipment, tools, and construction supplies in accordance with DOT requirements. • Complete pre-trip, post-trip, and daily equipment inspections • Track and record equipment hours, fuel usage, and utilization. • Perform routine maintenance, maintain service records, and promptly report equipment issues requiring repair • When not operating equipment, perform job site setup, traffic control, manual labor activities, hand excavation, job site cleanup, and other construction tasks as needed to support construction operations. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe equipment yard and work area • Follow all company safety policies and applicable OSHA and DOT regulations • Operate equipment safely around utility infrastructure and energized electrical equipment • Support emergency, after-hours, or storm restoration work when required ScheduleFull time, schedule may vary based on project needs, weather conditions, and workload. If you need an accommodation during the application or interview process, please contact Envision Benefits Group at You Need • Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required • Current DOT medical card • At least 3 years of heavy equipment operating experience • Experience operating excavators, dozers, loaders, skid steers, trenchers, and similar heavy equipment preferred • Experience hauling equipment and towing trailers preferred • Driving record that meets our insurance carrier's requirements • Ability to pass a DOT pre-employment drug test and participate in random testing • Working knowledge of equipment maintenance and basic troubleshooting • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Reliable, organized, and comfortable maintaining written or electronic records • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical job duties as needed Salary Description $30 - $36 per hour
