About the role

We are seeking an experienced Controller for a contract opportunity in the Memphis, TN area. This role will be responsible for overseeing core accounting and financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and timely month-end close activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical accounting background and experience working in a complex corporate environment. Hands-on experience with either SAP or Oracle Fusion is preferred or some other major ERP.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, and management reporting Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other accounting functions Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting processes Analyze financial results and provide insights to business leadership Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and applicable regulations Partner with finance and operational leadership on financial planning and business decisions Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and efficiency Support audits and other financial reporting requirements
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field Controller or senior accounting leadership experience Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting Experience with SAP or Oracle Fusion is required Strong Excel and financial analysis skills Experience managing or leading accounting teams preferred Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
