About the role
Kitchen Supervisor Oversee the kitchen and ensure all product exiting the kitchen meets customer and product requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients per the batch card (verifying item codes, lot numbers, weights, and descriptions)
- Oversee the preparation of batches (spice, saut, cheese blends, and sauces)
- Remove any products not required for current batches and verify all ingredients are correct
- Exercise judgement in the quality of the finished product
- Maintain ingredient lot numbers and cooking cycle counts
- Preform CIPs are required
- Monitor saut and cook kettle processing to ensure cook time and product transfers
- Ability to work in all kitchen positions
- Ensure kitchen and all utensils are clean and ready for use
- Understand written production orders
- Report food safety & quality problems to personnel with authority initiate action
- Required Education, Skills & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GEDPrevious manufacturing experience
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (bump cap, hair net, ear plugs, beard net (if applicable), Kevlar gloves, safety glasses and leather skid resistant work shoes/bootsAbility to apply basic computer and communication skills, math functions, and reasoning
- Ability to use basic hand tools (knife, pumps, and scales)
- Previous experience as a machine operator
- Lock Out/Tag Out Trained
Working Conditions:
- Constant exposure to extreme loud noises
- Constant standing and moving by foot
- Constant exposure to extreme hot/cold (non-weather) environment
- Constant work in high places and near moving mechanical parts, including conveyors
- Frequent lifting/carrying 50 pounds
- Potential exposure to caustic chemicals
