Job Title Job Description Help Liaising directly with external and internal clients to assess their needs and improve the responsiveness of services. Actively meeting with customers and service providers to assess operational challenges, provide guidance, and resolve broad problems. Anticipates emergency scenarios (identifying potential problems), determines logistical needs, generates alternative operational concepts, and recommends optimal courses of action. Obtains desired transportation information from appropriate sources, organizes data into usable format for analysis on management information systems. Plans and coordinates international movements of cargo and passengers via multiple modes of transport while evaluating timeliness, physical limits, and cost-effectiveness. Directs intermodal transportation and coordinates with specific carrier types (ocean, air, truck, barge, rail) to move diverse, hazardous, or sensitive freight globally.
