Role Description: The HVAC Sales/Service Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Ocala, FL. This team member is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential HVAC systems, including performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting system issues, and completing accurate service documentation. The role includes conducting on-site assessments, explaining findings to customers, recommending repair or replacement options, and presenting sales proposals for new equipment or upgrades. The technician will respond to scheduled appointments and service calls, ensure work areas are clean and safe, and follow all safety, code, and company standards. This position also requires collaborating with dispatch and office staff, maintaining company tools and vehicles, and consistently delivering professional, courteous service.
Qualifications: Strong customer-focused mindset, with skills in Customer Satisfaction and clear, professional communication. Technical expertise in Troubleshooting HVAC systems, including diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and control issues. Proficiency in Maintenance & Repair of residential and light commercial HVAC equipment. Experience performing Preventive Maintenance to improve system reliability and efficiency. EPA certification (or ability to obtain) for safe handling of refrigerants. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to operate a service vehicle safely. Ability to lift and move equipment, work in attics and outdoor environments, and follow safety protocols. Prior HVAC field experience and relevant trade school or technical training preferred. Comfort using mobile devices or service software for work orders, documentation, and communication.
