About the role
Data Entry SpecialistPosition Purpose: Accurately enter and process member provider selection requests and all other administrative operational tasks. Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. 1+ years of data entry or general office experience.
Track and process various change requests forms and doctor selection requests received through the member portal and other system queues timely and accurately. Process provider termination requests by performing membership moves and initiate termination letter requests to affected membership. Manually process provider selections for members unable to assign through the health plan's auto-assignment systematic process. Track and report provider selection errors demonstrated by call center representatives. Retrieve and process all incoming returned mail and fax requests. Process all provider member client-enrollment requests. Story Behind the Need: Temp needed to help with incoming request for Health Net to comply with SB137. This request is to refill position of a temp that had transition to FTE.
Typical Day in the Role: Temp will be trained and expected to pull work themselves after training from dedicating work folders. Expectation for temp to submit min of 8 submission per 8 hours shift. This can change as we are going to process changes. Temp will review request, research, and submit changes per regulation/business rules. The main function of a data entry specialist is to operate data entry devices, such as a keyboard or computer, to verify and input data. A typical data entry specialist is responsible for accurate information documentation and personal project management. Technical skills include documentation skills and time management. Job Responsibilities: Read source documents such as practitioner profiles, emails, and enter data in specific data fields or onto tapes or disks for subsequent entry, using keyboards or scanners. Compile, sort and verify the accuracy of data before it is entered. Locate and correct data entry errors, or report them to supervisors. Compare data with source documents, or re-enter data in verification format to detect errors. Maintain logs of activities and completed work. Skills: Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage one's time. Ability to accurately document and record customer/client information. Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.

Provider facing, Health plan experience, data entry experience, Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel. Disqualifiers: Manager wants the healthcare related positions to be recent. Additional qualities to look for: Health Net system experience (ABS, NDS, Macess, Portico, etc), Centene previous experience.
