About the role
Tech Services Representative
Summary/Objective:
Responsible for ensuring the fast response and effective containment of issues to meet or exceed our customer's expectations. Responsible for facilitating the interaction and corrective action process across mill suppliers, internal processes and customer point of contact while meeting the process metrics and financial goals. The Tech Services Representative complies with policies, regulations and values for safety, quality, delivery and financial stewardship.
Essential Functions:
- Makes regular visits with all customers and reports on activities to facilitate corrective action process
- Provides information on customer problems and issues
- Provides fast response of customer issues to employees by reviewing all major issues within 24 hours and documenting
- Communicates status of all new part launches to customers
- Assist with disposition of material shipping to customers
- Follows up all trial material and special runs of material at Customers
- Meets with Technical Service Representatives from supplying mills to reconcile claims and rejects
- Assist in problem solving and implementation of corrective actions
- Review and monitor NCM's issued
- Facilitate meetings related to quality and customer concerns and follow through with tasks
- Comply with all company and departmental policies and procedures, escalate concerns as needed
- Communicate with department personnel to discuss pertinent information
- Recommend and implement process improvements
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- All candidates must be able to work all shifts, Saturday, Sunday and overtime when needed· Walk / work on the plant floor to provide guidance and oversite· Outstanding interpersonal relationship building with customers and company employee· Exercise decision making skills· Approachable and professional· Solid problem solving skills with the ability to effectively handle multiple tasks at one time· Well organized
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent years of experience in similar industry· ISO & IATF 16949 knowledge and understanding is a plus· Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Windows environment; specifically, Outlook and Excel.
