About the Role: As an Assistant Director, you will work closely with the Center Director to ensure a positive, engaging, and well-organized learning environment. You'll provide hands-on leadership to staff, assist with center operations, and help maintain compliance with all state and organizational standards. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow in leadership while making a meaningful difference in the lives of children, families, and educators.
Your Responsibilities: Support daily center operations, ensuring smooth workflows and compliance with licensing regulations. Build and maintain strong relationships with staff, families, and children to create a welcoming and supportive community. Assist in mentoring and supporting teachers, fostering professional growth and high-quality educational practices. Help implement our ELM (Early Learning Matters) curriculum and ensure alignment with our E.P.I.C. Curriculum. Collaborate with leadership on scheduling, staffing, and center activities. Serve as a point of contact for families, addressing questions, concerns, and celebrating successes. Ensure a clean, safe, and well-equipped center that supports learning and exploration. Assist with administrative tasks, including documentation, compliance, and reporting.
What We're Looking For: Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (Bachelor's preferred). Previous experience in an early childhood education setting, preferably in a leadership or administrative role. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. Knowledge of state childcare licensing regulations and best practices in early childhood education. Flexibility, creativity, and a passion for supporting children, families, and staff. CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 3 months).
