Graduate Assistant I - Registrar's Office The purpose of this position is to provide office advanced administrative support for the Registrar’s Office. Act as one of the first points of contact to students, faculty, staff, parents, and community members to include walk-ins and telephone calls. Provide direct support to students, faculty, staff, parents, and community. Assist the Administrative Assistant in scanning, indexing, and verifying data integrity for the document management system. Occasionally participate in and assist with Preview Day and Orientation information fairs, and other recruitment and informational events on campus. Assist other members of the team during peak times, such as registration, beginning and end of terms, graduation, campus visits, orientations days, etc. Function as an active integral part of the Registrar’s Office and University teams in support of their missions and the UM Strategic plan. Other related duties as assigned. Responsibilities and Requirements: Be self-directed and motivated. Adhere to strict ethical and legal requirements concerning confidentiality and protecting information. Must be detail oriented. Ability to interact with students, faculty, and staff in a positive and effective way. Dress appropriately for a professional setting. Ability to use office equipment (Xerox copier and Multi-line Phone system). Must be familiar with MS Office programs.
