About the role

Shipping Position Complete the shipment of the daily shipping schedule in the best timely manner possible. This is accomplished by continually tracking loads that are still in process and keeping the lines of communication open with the departments still needing to handle the windows. Shipping position verifies and keeps records on outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards.
Essential Functions: Helps ensure all shipping paperwork is prepared and organized. Make sure system reflects production scheduling & shipment info. Audit shipping racks to customer, follow workloads/schedule. Work in D365 & Transportation Systems to ensure accuracy and consistency. Packs, examines and routes outgoing shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Supports the shipment of goods produced and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base. Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor. Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety building wood racks as necessary.
Required Education and Experience: High School Diploma Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel Experience in manufacturing and production is preferred

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This position requires Personal Protective Equipment. Protective Equipment supplied by the company includes: Safety Glasses and Safety Shoes. Employees may be required to provide additional Protective Equipment. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time hourly position, and hours/days of work are decided by production schedules and your reporting manager.
