Responsibilities: The hospitalist will primarily manage admitted patients to the hospitalist medicine service in close collaboration with consultants and subspecialists. The primary goal is to partner with consultants and specialists to medically manage and coordinate inpatient care, assist with transitions of care back to the ambulatory setting, and work closely with medical and surgical oncologic support staff, including advanced practice providers. The hospitalist will support a team-based approach, communicating with case managers, social workers, bed managers, and others to ensure patient‑centered transitions. The hospitalist will also work extensively with case management, social work, bed management, and pharmacy teams to assist in patient and family communication and care planning. The academic institution in collaboration with Robert Wood Johnson Medical School offers opportunities for clinical and research programs, faculty development, quality improvement activities, and teaching initiatives. Salary The anticipated salary range for this position if hired to work is $180,000 to $380,000 per year.
