About the role
- Partner with hiring managers to define position requirements, recruiting priorities, and interview schedules
- Create and maintain job postings and source candidates through Indeed, direct outreach, employee referrals, job fairs, schools, and staffing agencies
- Screen applicants, coordinate structured interviews, communicate with candidates and agencies, and track hiring feedback and next steps
- Build and maintain recruiting pipelines for production, technical, and professional positions
- Report on vacancies, hiring progress, recruiting source effectiveness, and upcoming staffing needs
- Coordinate approved offers, background screenings, drug screenings when applicable, and position-specific eligibility requirements
- Manage pre-start activities, including HR forms, HRIS setup, new-hire reporting, system access requests, and required employee-list updates
- Enter and verify new-hire information within applicable benefits enrollment systems and coordinate eligibility information with payroll and benefits
- Conduct new-hire orientation and explain company policies and available benefits
- Track required acknowledgments, training, and onboarding documentation
- Maintain complete and confidential applicant and new-hire records
- Follow up with managers and new employees throughout the initial onboarding period
- Create or improve recruiting and onboarding SOPs, checklists, trackers, and other repeatable processes
- Provide backup support for HR inquiries and other department needs as required
- At least 3 years of recruiting and onboarding experience
- Experience managing multiple open positions simultaneously
- Experience independently sourcing candidates through job boards, referrals, direct outreach, hiring events, or similar channels
- Experience conducting new-hire orientation and completing new-hire records and HRIS setup
- Experience creating or improving SOPs, checklists, trackers, or other recruiting and onboarding processes
- Working knowledge of fair hiring practices, documentation requirements, and confidential handling of applicant and employee information
- Ability to build direct recruiting channels and manage staffing agency relationships
- Strong organization, follow-through, candidate communication, and presentation skills
- Proficiency with applicant tracking or recruiting tools, HRIS platforms, and Microsoft OfficeHigh school diploma or equivalentU.S. Citizenship required due to applicable government contract requirements
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
- Experience recruiting for manufacturing, skilled trades, technical, or government contractor positions
- Experience supporting high-volume or manufacturing hiring
