Summary: Tessolve is looking for a Mechanical Engineer – NPI (System-Level Products) to join our team in the Bay Area. This role is ideal for a hands-on mechanical engineer who thrives at the intersection of design, prototyping, and high-volume manufacturing, driving complex system-level products from concept through production ramp.
What You’ll Do:
  • Lead mechanical design and development of system-level products
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities including prototyping, qualification, pilot builds, and production ramp
  • Apply DFM/DFA principles to improve manufacturability, quality, and cost
  • Develop CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation
  • Collaborate with Electrical, Optical, Systems, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams
  • Drive root cause analysis and resolution of product and manufacturing issues
  • Work with suppliers and contract manufacturers to support production readiness and volume manufacturing
  • Support ECOs, design reviews, and product lifecycle management
  • What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree inMechanical Engineering or related field 5+ years of experience in mechanical design andNPI for system-level or electromechanical products
  • Proficiency in3D CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo, NX, or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding ofDFM, DFA, GD&T, tolerance analysis, and manufacturing processes
  • Experience with prototype builds, product validation, and manufacturing transfer
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
Preferred: Experience with semiconductor equipment, optical/photonics products, robotics, automation systems, or precision electromechanical assemblies
Preferred: Familiarity with PLM, ERP, and change control processes
