About the role
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair automated manufacturing and material handling equipment
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on automation, electrical, and control systems
- Troubleshoot PLCs (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, or similar), HMI panels, and VFDsSupport robotic systems (Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, or similar), including setup and recovery
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, control diagrams, and technical documentation
- Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions
- Support new equipment installations, upgrades, and system modifications
- Maintain safety standards when working with high‑voltage and automated systems
- Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to improve reliability, throughput, and uptime
- Document repairs, system changes, and preventive maintenance activities in the CMMSWhat We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of experience supporting automated or industrial equipment
- Strong understanding of electrical and control systems
- Experience troubleshooting PLC‑controlled equipment
- Ability to read electrical schematics and ladder logic
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, industrial or distribution environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional team
- Associate degree or technical certification in Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical, or Industrial Technology
- Experience with robotics, servo systems, and vision systems
- Knowledge of industrial networking (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, DeviceNet, etc.)Familiarity with CMMS and preventive maintenance programs
- Manufacturing or high‑speed distribution environment experience
- Physical & Work Environment
- Ability to stand, walk, and work on equipment for extended periods
- Lift up to 50 lbs with or without accommodation
- Work safely around moving machinery, electrical systems, and elevated platforms
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or on‑call as needed
