About the role

The Adolphus Hotel Rodeo BarRecognized for more than a century as the iconic address for Dallas hospitality, The Adolphus offers timeless culture, vibrant and storied surroundings, imaginative and collaborative food and drink, and immersive experiences. In its reimagining, the 407 room downtown hotel recalls a grand European home. We are in search of passionate personalities to become the face of The Adolphus hotel's iconic Rodeo Bar. This joint first opened in 1981 and served Dallasites and visitors for nearly four decades. We are now re-opening the Rodeo bar with a new menu, new vibe and back room for private gatherings while honoring the heart and soul of the original concept: "Texas grit and authenticity."Seeking the silent hero: the individual who understands that behind every glass of cabernet or craft cocktail is the attention to detail that makes an experience truly memorable. Spotless glasses, fresh ingredients, and bottles at the ready don't happen by accident. A bar back efficiently stocks, cleans, and organizes the bar while communicating and working seamlessly with the bartenders. Requested TasksEyes are always on the critical 6: ice, juice, syrups/mixers, spirits, glassware, bar top cleanliness Anticipate items to stock during shift - prior to running out Understand bar equipment and how to troubleshoot problems during shift (Low CO2 in tap lines, dishwasher cycling, changing beer keys, etc.)Maintain bar cleanliness from all angles - the bar top where guests are seated, the bar back where spirits, glassware, supplies are located, waste bins, and floors Thorough knowledge of menu and beverage offerings and supporting knowledge of brand vision and standards of quality Requested Capabilities Prior experience highly preferred A proactive and detailed demeanor As part of the Makeready collection, we proudly offer a variety of thoughtful benefits and perks for eligible team members including accommodating PTO/PTO exchange, medical/dental/vision benefits, maternity/paternity leave, pet insurance, company-matched dependent care & 401k, student loan repayment program and a wide range of additional ancillary benefits. The health, happiness and well-being of our team is our top priority. We take pride in our Guiding Principles to help define how we successfully work together. We follow them not out of duty but live by them instinctively.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
