About the role
The Assistant Coach will assist the Head Coach with coordination of all phases of a competitive NJCAA Division I athletic program.
Recruitment
Identify prospective student athletes and establish and maintain appropriate communication.
Conduct effective on-campus visits.
Demonstrate success with respect to qualified prospective student athletes.
Organization
Provide effective organization of program and management of time.
Perform a variety of coaching functions at all practices.
Organization and supervision for team travel.
Scouting of all future opponents and providing scouting reports to the team
Understand and conference, regional and NJCAA requirements in regard to meetings, statistics, rosters, schedules and awards
Associate’s degree or equivalent required.
3 years of experience coaching or competing.
Positive attitude
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality at all times
Self-starter with the ability to perform with little or no direct supervision
Regular, prompt & reliable attendance
Ability to pass a background check, have a valid U.S. drivers license and good driving record
The employee frequently is required to sit for extended periods of time and use hands to operate computer keyboard, telephone and basic office equipment.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
