Bather

Essential Functions: Bathe dogs according to established salon procedures Trim nails safely and appropriately Dry dogs using proper equipment and techniques Assist Groomers with preparation and handling of pets Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of bathing areas and equipment Safely restrain and handle animals during bathing and grooming support Monitor pets for signs of stress or discomfort and report concerns to supervisor Support overall salon operations as needed Perform other duties as assigned

Work Environment: This position operates in a Retail/Pet Salon environment. The role involves regular interaction with animals, grooming equipment, water, cleaning solutions, and grooming tools. The environment may be wet, noisy, and fast-paced.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. This position requires many types of movement and the handling of heavy items. The employee must be able to stand for extended periods, bend, kneel, lift, and restrain animals of varying sizes. The role requires frequent use of hands and arms, and the ability to lift and maneuver pets and equipment as necessary. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This position may be Full-Time or Part-Time. Scheduling may vary based on business needs. Travel This position does not require travel.

Requirements: Required Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. No prior experience required.

Preferred Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. One to three years of related experience in a pet salon, grooming environment, or animal care setting.
