About the role
Transitions Pet Care is a nonprofit in Atlanta with a goal to provide free pet care to pet parents who are suffering from a major illness or a disability that prevents them from physically caring for their pet. We believe that by providing pet care support, these owners will be able to continue to enjoy the comfort and companionship of their pets and not have to surrender them to the shelter. We are looking for volunteers to help provide pet care such as dog walking, litter box maintenance, and transportation to pet appointments to pet owners living in Atlanta and immediate surrounding areas. All volunteers must be vaccinated, pass a background check, comfortable going into someone's home, and be 18+ years of age. Experience caring for a pet is a plus but not required. We will provide training. Locations where we have a need: Litterbox maintenance in Brookhaven any week day Dog walk needed for a small dog in Gresham Park on the weekends Dog walk needed for a small dog in Decatur off of Wesley Chapel any day If interested, please email us at transitionspetcare@gmail.com.
