About the role
- Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal and HVAC ductwork
- Install commercial duct systems, fittings, transitions, and related components
- Measure, cut, bend, and form sheet metal to job specifications
- Assist with layout and installation of ductwork on commercial projects
- Read and follow measurements, plans, and job specifications
- Properly use hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal equipment
- Seal and secure ductwork according to company and industry standards
- Work safely on ladders, lifts, rooftops, and active construction sites
- Maintain an organized work area and properly care for tools and equipment
- Work with commercial HVAC installers, supervisors, and other trades to keep projects on schedule
- Previous sheet metal, ductwork, HVAC, or commercial construction experience preferredAbility to accurately use a tape measure and perform basic construction math
- Experience with sheet metal fabrication and installation is a plus
- Ability to safely operate common hand and power tools
- Comfortable working at heights and in varying indoor/outdoor conditions
- Ability to lift and carry materials associated with commercial HVAC installation
- Dependable transportation and reliable attendance
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
- Compensation$16.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience and skill level.
