About the role
Brunel is recruiting Process Operators to work in Hopkinsville, Kentucky for 2 years contract with our major oil and gas client. We are looking for a Process Operator with manufacturing experience and strong knowledge of plant safety, equipment isolation, and work permits.
Responsibilities:
Monitor plant equipment and support safe, efficient operations. Coordinate with Control Room, Operations, Maintenance, and contractor teams. Review maintenance work packages and confirm equipment isolation. Endorse work permits and support startup and commissioning. Maintain daily operating logs and shift handover notes. Make process adjustments to maintain product quality. Participate in emergency response activities.
Requirements:
At least 3 years of manufacturing experience. Operations or similar industry experience. Strong knowledge of LOTO, permitting, and OSHA 1910.Ability to write procedures and use Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to read P&IDs, process flow diagrams, utility flow diagrams, and shutdown logic diagrams. Knowledge of emergency response, JSA, and risk assessment. Ability to work at heights and lift 50 pounds daily and up to 100 pounds periodically.
