Work above ceilings and in other areas necessary to access fire alarm devices. Safely use basic hand tools and testing equipment. Use computers, laptops, tablets, email, and inspection software. Complete clear, accurate, and timely inspection documentation. Read and follow written instructions, plans, device lists, and basic system drawings. Work independently and stay productive with limited supervision. Demonstrate strong organizational and time-management skills. Take responsibility for assigned work and follow through until the job is complete. Work professionally with customers, coworkers, and facility personnel.
Preferred Qualifications: 1–2 years of fire alarm, low-voltage, electrical, or related experience. Previous fire alarm inspection or service experience. Experience using a multimeter and basic electrical troubleshooting equipment. Familiarity with fire alarm control panels and initiating/notification devices. Physical Requirements: This is an active field position, not a desk-based inspection job. Employees must be able to spend the majority of the workday standing and walking, repeatedly climb ladders, work overhead, move equipment, and access devices located throughout large facilities. Some work may require accessing areas above ceilings, mechanical spaces, elevated locations, and other areas where fire alarm equipment is installed. Schedule Full-Time – Monday through Friday This position requires a flexible schedule. Evening and after-hours work is a regular and required part of the job, particularly when inspecting schools and occupied facilities. Daytime work and overtime may also be required depending on project schedules. Compensation$19.25–$30.00 per hour, depending on fire alarm experience, certifications, technical knowledge, and overall qualifications.
Benefits: 401(k)Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Paid time off Location Las Cruces, New Mexico Applicants must be able to reliably commute to Las Cruces and travel to customer locations as required.
What We're Looking For: The right person for this position is dependable, organized, comfortable working independently, and understands that an inspection isn't complete until the testing and documentation are finished. We value employees who take ownership of their assignments, communicate when there is a problem, and can be relied upon to get the job done correctly and safely.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
