About the role
School Psychologist Provides a continuum of general psychological services to the children of Standard School District, including individual and group counseling, behavior management, and agency liaison activities; conducts behavior consultation with parents, teachers and administrators; provides staff development to school district personnel on mental health and behavior management issues; coordinates general assessment activities and data collection for the progress monitoring of intervention programs for at-risk students. As a certificated employee, works at assigned school sites under the direct supervision of the director of student support services, and the indirect supervision of site principals. The psychologist is evaluated by the director of student support services.
Required:
Minimum of a Masters degree in counseling, psychology, applied behavior analysis, or social work, or the equivalent in post-baccalaureate course work in one or more of the above disciplines, from a regionally accredited university. California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential, including the school psychologist specialization. Training/experience in non-traditional assessment methods, such as functional assessment, curriculum-based measurement and assessment, progress monitoring, ecological assessment, etc. Training/experience in applied behavior analysis/ecological-behavioral methods. Desired: Ph.D. or Ed.D. in school psychology, applied behavior analysis, counseling psychology, social work. Experience working with various special education populations. Training/experience in systems-wide behavioral intervention methods. Training/experience in single subject research design and program evaluation.
