About the role

Lead the design, procurement, setup, and operation of a new materials laboratory, while directing materials reverse engineering and characterization to assess production suitability. Serve as the polymer science subject matter expert, evaluate additive-manufactured materials, maintain laboratory safety and technical documentation, and advise senior engineering leadership.
Requirements: A master’s degree in materials science, materials engineering, chemical engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline is required; a Ph.D. is a plus. Candidates need at least five years of progressive experience in materials testing, analysis, and laboratory management, deep polymer expertise, the ability to lead laboratory work independently, U.S. citizenship, eligibility for a DoD Secret clearance, and a valid or obtainable U.S. passport for 15% travel.
