About the role

About the role: We are seeking a Federal Account Executive to grow staffing business across the federal contracting market. You will develop relationships with agencies, prime contractors, subcontractors, systems integrators, and government services firms; identify funded workforce needs; and turn those needs into contract and full-time placements. This is a sales and account growth role. You will own customer development and work closely with recruiters who source and qualify candidates. Success means building a portfolio of accounts that generates recurring requisitions, contractor headcount, gross profit, and revenue.
What you will do: Develop new staffing business with federal agencies and contractors supporting federal programs. Track contract awards, task orders, contract vehicles, recompetes, and program funding to spot workforce demand. Map each opportunity to program leaders, hiring managers, labor categories, locations, clearances, rates, and hiring timelines. Build relationships with program and delivery executives, talent acquisition leaders, subcontract managers, resource managers, and hiring managers. Generate qualified requisitions for contract staffing, staff augmentation, contract to hire, direct hire, cleared talent, and specialized technical roles. Partner with recruiters on intake, candidate submissions, feedback, interviews, offers, and onboarding. Negotiate bill rates and staffing terms; develop teaming and subcontract relationships where appropriate. Expand accounts across programs and hiring teams, support contractor retention and extensions, and maintain a current CRM forecast.
What we are looking for: Five or more years of relevant staffing sales, account management, business development, government contracting, or professional services experience specifically supporting Federal Government Clients or Primes/Subs with direct Federal ContractsA record of opening accounts, creating staffing requisitions, and converting opportunities into placements and revenue in support of Federal Government Contracts Understanding of federal prime and subcontractor relationships, contract vehicles, and program delivery. Familiarity with bill rates, pay rates, gross profit, contractor headcount, and staffing workflows. Strong prospecting, relationship development, negotiation, and CRM discipline; ability to build a territory independently. Experience with technical, professional, or cleared talent and an existing federal contractor network are valuable. Excellent Verbal and written communication skills Ability to travel when needed
