About the role

Bringing extensive experience in transformer electrical and mechanical design, the full-time Principal HVDC Transmission Transformer Design Engineer will ensure the development of high-quality transformer products while working remotely and focusing on risk identification and mitigation for HVDC applications. Key responsibilities:Lead design reviews to ensure compliance with design, quality, and manufacturing best practices Provide technical support for factory and site issues, including customer and supplier communications Analyze quality data and implement corrective actions to continuously improve design processesRequired qualifications:Deep technical knowledge in transformer electrical and mechanical design Extensive experience in Transmission Transformer Manufacturing and HVDC projects, typically 10-15 years Demonstrated expertise in FEA Analysis and quality process improvement Solid understanding of site and factory acceptance testing issues, RCA, and DFMEA Exceptional communication skills with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
