Nursing Clinical Instructor Arkansas State University-Newport The Full-Time Nursing Clinical Instructor is responsible for providing high-quality clinical instruction, supervision, and evaluation of nursing students in healthcare settings. The instructor facilitates the integration of nursing theory into clinical practice while ensuring safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered care. This role supports student success, professional development, and adherence to program standards and regulatory requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervising care provided by a group of students (usually 6-8 students in a group) while they complete their clinical rotation in your area of specialty. Coordinating with clinicians at the clinical site to make student patient assignments. Teaching students how to perform duties in the clinical site, within the scope of practice for their program, and answering their questions. Evaluating students clinical work. Provide verbal and written feedback to students about clinical experiences. Lead simulation on each campus as scheduled. Assist in skills labs on each campus as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Clinical Instructors must hold an active unencumbered Registered Nursing License issued by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing. All Clinical Instructors must have a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.
