Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Industrial Operations Engineer to drive operational excellence within their extensive facilities in East London. This pivotal role involves overseeing and optimizing complex industrial operations, focusing on efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness. You will lead strategic initiatives, implement best practices in industrial engineering, and mentor junior engineers. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in industrial operations management and a strong track record of successful process and system improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic plans for optimizing industrial operations and production processes.
Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing systems and workflows.
Analyze operational data to identify performance gaps and develop data-driven solutions for enhancement.
Manage large-scale projects related to operational upgrades, equipment installation, and process automation.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations within the East London plant.
Provide leadership and technical guidance to a team of industrial engineers and operational staff.
Requirements:
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
10+ years of progressive experience in industrial operations and engineering management.
Extensive knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other operational excellence methodologies.
Proven ability to lead complex projects and manage cross-functional teams effectively.
Strong understanding of manufacturing technologies, automation, and supply chain principles.
