Job Summary: The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) at a Level 1 Trauma Center is seeking an experienced healthcare professional for a temporary assignment. The position involves supporting diagnostic and interventional procedures including cardiac catheterizations, percutaneous coronary interventions, and device implantations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a teaching hospital environment with a focus on advanced cardiovascular care. Job Details
Schedule: 10-hour shifts, 0700-1730, with a schedule cycle set in 6-week increments. The assignment starts on 11/16/2026 and ends on 02/13/2027, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: RN or Tech with current licensure; BLS and ACLS certifications; 2 years of Cath Lab experience for RNs and Techs; experience with the following case types: diagnostic/interventional procedures including LHC/RCH, NSTEMI/STEMI, Impella, IABPs, Rotoblator, CTOs/staged PCI, shockwave, temporary pacers, peripheral interventions, and loop recorders. Techs should have ARRT certification, with experience in Laser lead extraction, Rotoblator, FFR, IVUS, Impella, IABP, EKOS, pacemaker, groin site management, and monitoring.
Additional Information: The role involves moderate sedation with Versed and Fentanyl, critical drip management, case monitoring and circulation. The team includes support staff such as charge RN, receptionists, hospitalist/physician after hours, respiratory therapists, and department management. The environment is equipped with Phillips imaging and hemodynamics systems, EPIC electronic medical records, and Phillips c-arm units. Support within the Department: Charge RN involvement in cases, after-hours hospitalist/physician support, respiratory therapists, and management resources. Support Equipment: EMR: EPIC; IV Pump: Alaris; Hemodynamics: Phillips; PACS: Merge; Imaging: Phillips C-arm. Floating: None. Orientation: 1-day facility and unit orientation. Scheduling: Weekend rotation with on-call shifts, including 2 weekend shifts within each 4-week schedule, and 4-5 additional overnight call shifts per 4-week cycle. Response time for on-call is 30 minutes; no sleep rooms available. Additional notes include provided scrub color, parking options, and proximity to public transportation.
