About the role
- Build custom wooden crates, pallets, and packaging structures according to specifications, blueprints, or work orders
- Repair damaged crates and pallets to restore structural integrity and usability
- Measure, cut, and assemble wood materials using hand and power tools (saws, nail guns, drills, etc.)Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and customer requirements
- Read and interpret basic drawings, dimensions, and instructions
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety standards
- Operate equipment such as forklifts (if certified) to move materials and finished goods
- Identify and report material shortages, defects, or equipment issues
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Qualifications and Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in woodworking, construction, manufacturing, or a similar role preferred
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Basic math skills (measuring, cutting, fractions)
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred
- Ability to lift up to 5075 lbs regularly
- Prolonged standing, bending, and repetitive motion
