Location:
West Palm Beach, FL Flag: Cayman Islands Vessel: 110' brand-new Italian-built chase boat Crew: 3 Program: Private / light use Salary: DOEA brand-new 110' chase boat is looking for a hands-on deckhand to join its 3-person crew. The vessel is based in West Palm Beach and spends approximately 10 months of the year in the area, with Christmas and New Year in the Bahamas. The owner uses the vessel primarily as a tender to his larger yacht. This includes trips to restaurants and the beach. This is a private, light-use program with no charter. The boat has lots of teak and requires someone who enjoys being hands-on and takes pride in maintaining the exterior.
Duties:
General deck maintenance and upkeep Teak maintenance Washing, polishing and detailing Handling lines and fenders Anchoring and anchoring procedures Assisting with docking and maneuvering General exterior maintenance Assisting the captain and crew as needed Program: Private owner, no charter Brand-new Italian-built vessel 3-person crew Approximately 10 months per year based in West Palm Beach Bahamas for Christmas/New Year Owner primarily uses the boat for day trips and as a tender to his larger yachtA few trips each year lasting several weeks Possible Mediterranean trip for approximately 3 weeks; vessel would be shipped to the Med No water toys Tender driving experience is not required Private cabin
Ideal Candidate:
6 months previous deckhand experience required Must have solid experience with lines, fenders and anchoring Hands-on approach and strong work ethic Comfortable with regular exterior maintenance and teak care Detail-oriented and takes pride in the vessel Able to work well as part of a small crew Someone who wants to be based in West Palm Beach Open to male or female candidates Must have B1/B2 visa or legal to work in the USA
Salary: DOE based on experience.
