JOB SUMMARY: TIG Welder will be responsible for welding, cutting, and brazing metal pieces and products by using flame-cutting and hand welding equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Perform TIG welding on stainless steel Fabricate and assemble medical equipment components to specification Grind, polish, and finish welds to cosmetic and sanitary standards Inspect completed welds for accuracy, penetration, and quality Operate fabrication equipment including grinders, saws, and hand tools Plans details of work order procedures; gathers required tools and materials based on instructions and specifications provided for the job. Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area. Follow OSHA, company safety, and quality procedures Notifies supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered. Performs other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS: AND KNOWLEDGEBasic understanding of design techniques, principles, and tools necessary for the precise production of technical plans, drawings, models, and blueprints Basic understanding of mathematics as related to welding assignments Knowledge of welding symbols and fabrication techniques Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods Strong attention to detail dn workmanship Must pass Skill Assessment for Tape Measure and Welding TestEDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or GED required Welding Certificate, or 2-5 years TIG experience Experience in medical, food-grade, pharmaceutical, or clean-finish welding environments preferred
