Content Strategist (Content-Focused Marketing Exp. Req.; Agency Exp. Not Req.)
Description: Our client, a Phoenix-based marketing agency, is expanding their team (~30 company-wide) and looking to add a Content Strategist to their office. This position is open following the promotion of their Senior Strategist to Executive Creative Director. You will play a lead role in developing and executing content strategies across a variety of channels, helping shape the strategy, write copy, build creative briefs, and understand why certain messaging, formats, and approaches will resonate with a specific audience. Whether you have agency experience or are looking for the opportunity to join a progressive agency that works across a variety of industries and client audiences, this is a great opportunity for someone who wants to work alongside a team that looks for ways to stay innovative and challenge the status quo. What matters most is strong writing, strategic thinking, adaptability, and the ability to connect content back to business results. And then there's the culture. A lot of companies say they're culture focused, but our client's employee tenure and reputation really speak for themselves. They're a team that genuinely enjoys working together, which is why this is primarily an in-office role. What's especially cool is that they don't believe in putting people in a box. If you're interested in learning something new or exploring another area of the business, they'll actually encourage you to do it. And if that isn't reason enough, if you have a pup you don't want to leave behind, their office is dog friendly, too. Content Strategist (Content-Focused Marketing Exp. Req.; Agency Exp. Not Req.)

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
