About the Role: We’re looking for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to play a key role in supporting and improving electrical systems, automation, and manufacturing equipment within a growing industrial operation. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, working directly with production, and improving equipment reliability. New machinery is coming online soon, making this a critical role in supporting equipment installations, startup, troubleshooting, and long-term maintenance. A degree is not required — strong electrical maintenance technicians with the right experience are encouraged to apply. Why Join? What You’ll Do: Troubleshoot electrical systems, controls, PLCs, sensors, motors, drives, HMIs, and industrial automation equipment Read and interpret electrical prints and schematics Support equipment installation, startup, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement Partner with Maintenance and Production to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability Develop and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions Support PLC troubleshooting and modifications as needed Coordinate with equipment suppliers, contractors, and vendors on electrical and automation projects Support machine safety, electrical safety, controls, and safety circuits Help manage critical electrical spare parts and maintenance inventory Recommend equipment upgrades, replacements, and engineering improvements
What We’re Looking For: Strong electrical troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment Ability to read electrical schematics and prints Comfortable working directly on the production floor and troubleshooting issues as they arise Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to work hands-onPLC troubleshooting experience is a plus Siemens experience and exposure to European/metric equipment standards is a plus Experience supporting new equipment installations is a plus 2- or 4-year engineering degree is welcome, but not required
Location: West Dundee, IL
Schedule: 1st Shift | 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM (flexible)
Salary: $85,000–$100,000/year, with flexibility up to $120,000 for the right candidate
