About the role

Founding Account Executive, Brand Sponsorships Applying takes about two minutes. No account, no portal, and a human reads it.
About this role: About the company A venture-backed marketplace modernizing how brands buy sports and live event sponsorships. Most of this market still runs on cold email, spreadsheets, and one-off negotiations, with no central place to buy it the way brands buy digital media. This company is building that platform, where brands find, compare, and close sponsorship deals. Clients include major national brands and professional sports teams, leagues, venues, and entertainment properties.
The role: This is a founding sales hire. The founders have proven the sales motion: brands are buying and revenue is flowing. Your job is to take it over, outsell the founders, and turn what works into a repeatable process. You will close the larger, high touch brand deals that need real discovery, multiple conversations, and a sharp seller leading them. A BDR sources and qualifies pipeline, books meetings for you, and handles smaller transactional deals. You will also generate your own pipeline. Every deal you work is yours from first touch to signed contract. The company sees this as one of its most important hires.
What you will do: Own the full brand sponsorship sales cycle: first outreach to signed contract to post sale relationship Build and run outbound to brand marketing leaders across CPG, beverage, fintech, gaming, DTC, and other categories Lead discovery and demos that surface sponsorship opportunities buyers cannot find elsewhere, and capture a clear brief Own your metrics: pipeline, conversion, deal velocity, and revenue Build the sales playbook (cadences, objection handling, deal desk) so the motion scales beyond you Bring buyer feedback directly to the founders and engineering team Represent the company at major brand marketing events and industry dinners Over time, hire and lead the sales team that follows you What they are looking for Results over pedigree: they care what you have accomplished, not where you went to school or how long it took A track record of winning: you can state your quota and attainment, and you have been at or near the top of every leaderboard you have been on Zero to one experience: you built a new territory, vertical, sales motion, or company without being asked At least one deal you closed that nobody thought was closable High level competitive background as an athlete, founder, or top rep Comfortable selling without a finished playbook, and energized by ambiguity Understanding of how brands buy, or the ability to learn it faster than anyone

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
