Journeyman Cutter - Rochester AreaMeat Cutter is responsible for handling meat and meat products. Cutter will receive, process, cut, trim, scrape, package, tie, wrap, weigh, price, and label meat products. Cutter is responsible for setting an example in providing attentive and courteous customer service. Essential duties and responsibilities include providing remarkable customer service, having adequate knowledge of the preparation of different cuts of meat, achieving financial goals such as sales and gross profit maximization, adhering to company policy through proper processing, preparation, and packaging of product, maintaining a clean work area, following all federal, state, and local regulations, ensuring proper temperatures are maintained, maintaining adequate meat supplies, and maintaining proper case conditions. Minimum qualifications include being at least 18 years of age, being a certified meat cutter, ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions, possessing basic computer skills, and possessing strong communication skills. Physical requirements include operation of the following equipment: knives, computerized scales, bandsaw, patty machine, high pressure cleaner, pallet jack, grinder, cubing machine, walkie stacker, wrapping machine, baler/compactor.
