The Role: As our Business Development & Marketing Specialist, you will be the bridge between our team and the North Carolina communities we serve. Your mission is to cultivate trust-based relationships, tell our story, and identify opportunities where our civil construction expertise can do the most good. You will champion our human-centric culture across the state, ensuring that every municipality, utility partner, and client feel valued and supported.
Your Impact: (Key Responsibilities)Relationship Building & Community Growth Cultivate Trust: Build, nurture, and maintain genuine, long-term relationships with municipal, utility, engineering, and industrial leaders across North Carolina. Discover Opportunities: Seek out new partnerships and infrastructure projects where our team can make a meaningful difference. Collaborative Consulting: Listen deeply to the needs of town owners, engineers, and decision-makers to align our civil construction solutions with their goals. Drive Strategies: Support regional growth plans and generate qualified leads that keep our team working on impactful community projects. Stay Present: Maintain a warm, active presence in the field through regular client visits, meaningful networking, and transparent tracking in our CRM software. Marketing
Share Our Mission: Lead Civil marketing initiatives that highlight our passion for quality-of-life infrastructure. Create Impactful Content: Design human-centric brochures, project profiles, newsletters, proposals, and award submissions that celebrate our Civil team's hard work. Enhance Branding: Keep our digital footprint welcoming and informative by supporting Civil website updates and elevating our brand voice. Events & Community Engagement Gather People: Attend conferences, trade shows, sponsorships, and heartfelt client-appreciation events. Represent with Pride: Serve as a proud, professional Civil ambassador for our company culture and values at all industry functions. Client Care & Feedback Nurture Lifelong Relationships: Stay close to existing Civil clients to encourage repeat partnerships. Help grow our network of qualified clients. Listen & Improve: Actively gather Civil client feedback to continuously elevate our service, satisfaction, and impact.
Who You Are: (Qualifications)Experience with Heart: 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing within civil construction, utilities, engineering, or infrastructure (preferred).Industry Familiarity: Comfort working alongside municipal or industrial clients who share our public-service mindset (preferred).
Education: A bachelor's degree is preferred Strong Communicator: Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills with an innate ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Tech-Savvy: Proficient with Microsoft Office, CRM tools, and social media platforms to help keep us organized and connected. Ready for the Road: Excited to travel throughout North Carolina to meet our clients on their home turf. Licensed Driver: A valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
