About the role

Overview: Paraprofessional (Pre-Kindergarten Program) at McHenry School District 15, Edgebrook Elementary School. Reports to Building Principal. Terms of Employment: 175 Day – Full Time. Start date: August 19, 2025. Responsibilities/Duties Promote a safe environment including physical intervention as needed according to protocol. CPI training preferred or willing to train. Work as a cooperating member of a team and effectively communicate with students, teachers, parents and administration; positive attitude and dependability. Willingness or experience working with young children with special needs.
Qualifications: Current and Valid Paraprofessional License; 60 college credit hours or Work Keys Test/other ISBE requirement for obtaining Paraprofessional License. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
Pay and Benefits: $17.00/hour starting plus benefits. The District can provide additional credit to candidates who have prior work experience. Full health insurance program with major medical. Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF Pension). Paid time off.
