Remote Senior Project Manager (Contract/Part-time) - K-12 Education

If you have deep experience in K-12 school districts and public education and want to continue serving clients on your terms, this may be the right fit.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide owner's representation on new school construction, renovations, additions, athletic facilities, and bond-funded capital improvement programs on a project-by-project or part-time basis.Serve as the owner's trusted advisor on budget, schedule, quality, and risk management.Navigate state education department requirements, local school district standards, and applicable state construction oversight agencies.Support business development efforts and client relationship development as needed.Mentor junior staff and share institutional knowledge.Coordinate with Brookwood leadership on project staffing and resource needs.Requirements15+ years in construction project management, program management, or owner's representation.Demonstrated track record managing K-12 school construction projects.Strong working relationships with school districts, public school administrators, and education boards.Excellent communication skills and executive presence.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Willingness to travel to project sites as assignments require.Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.Preferred QualificationsDeep experience in K-12 school districts and public education.CCM, PMP, PE, RA, or LEED AP certification.Experience with state education facility approval processes, familiarity with school district procurement processes and education-specific building codesExisting client relationships that could benefit from Brookwood's platform.What You'll GainFlexible schedule—work on your terms.Competitive hourly or project-based compensation.Access to Brookwood's back-office support, insurance, and contracting infrastructure.AI-powered project management tools that make your job easier.Opportunity to transition to full-time if circumstances change.Why Brookwood?We were co-founded by George Heery: the person who literally invented much of what we now call Construction Management and Program Management, including the Bridging method.
