Share your journey and help shape the future with our dynamic team.This position requires excellent communication and people skills as you will work closely with the Principals, Project Managers and Designers while assuming leadership for architectural lab programming and planning experience for science and technology facilities including teaching and research, vivarium, and STEM facilities for academic, corporate research and government clients. As a lab planner and architect at DGA, you will: Demonstrate creativity, passion and interest in design and planning of laboratories within technical facilities.Advance knowledge of technical and regulatory requirements for laboratory design. Bring strong communication both verbally and in writing; bring the ability to convey laboratory planning needs to designers and other team members and clients Meet with clients/users to develop or validate program requirements for lab and high-tech facilities; develop space programs and physical plans at a variety of scales; Collaborate with the project team in planning facilities by developing flexible planning grids, lab organization diagram and service distribution concepts; Lead the documentation of laboratory systems such as casework, lab equipment, and development of laboratory spaces to create next generation settings for discovery; Participate in marketing efforts through proposal development, interview participation and presentations.Ensure all designs and construction documents adhere to applicable building codes, zoning regulations, industry standards, and environmental requirements Determine and guide the production of comprehensive construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and other necessary documents.Develop trusting relationships with clients; and Utilize expertise and share knowledge with colleagues and mentor junior staff members You\'ll bring to DGA: 8+ years of architectural lab programming/planning and project architecture experience Architectural registration preferred Demonstrated effectiveness in managing clients, project teams and project processes Excellent written and verbal skills Knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, expertise in Revit and other industry accepted like Microsoft Office Suite products is needed DGA is a people-focused firm.When asked what makes working at DGA enjoyable, the number one answer is the people.
