About the role

The Director of Sales leads our sales organization with a focus on revenue growth, team performance, client experience, relationship development, and long-term business health. This person is both a sales leader and a business leader - someone with deep catering and hospitality experience who understands the numbers, develops people, knows the market, strengthens relationships, and consistently moves the team toward company goals. The Director of Sales must be equally comfortable coaching a salesperson, cultivating a key client relationship, evaluating a sales forecast, and understanding the financial impact of the business the team is booking Sales professionals own the client relationship from initial inquiry through planning and event execution, working closely with Operations and Culinary to ensure what is sold can be delivered successfully. The Director of Sales leads, coaches, and strengthens that client journey; the role is not expected to attend or personally execute every event. Presence at events is strategic and purposeful - focused on key client relationships, major opportunities, team development, or situations where leadership involvement adds value. Key Areas of focus: Revenue Strategy and Performance. Sales Team Leadership, coaching, and performance. Fosters the core values of: Family, Respect, Integrity, Growth, Heritage, Teamwork, and Service. Monitor, follow up on the sales pipelines, process, and client experience. Business development and relationship strategy. Work closely with other department heads in culinary and operations. Job Requirement / experience requirements:5-7+ years of progressive experience in catering, events, hospitality, or a closely related industry, with a strong preference for candidates with direct catering sales and event execution experience. College degree preferred, ideally in business, hospitality, sales, marketing, or a related field; equivalent relevant leadership experience will also be considered. Demonstrated experienceleading, coaching, and holding a sales team accountablefor individual and company-wide revenue goals. Strong understanding of the full catering sales and event lifecycle- from lead generation and discovery through proposal, contracting, planning, execution, and post-event relationship development.
