About the role
Physical Therapist – Full-Time or Part-Time Midland Physical Therapy, Inc. | Midland, Michigan
Compensation:
Competitive Salary Are you looking for an outpatient physical therapy position where you have the time and freedom to truly focus on your patients? Midland Physical Therapy, Inc. is an established, independent outpatient physical therapy practice that has served the Midland community for more than 30 years. We are seeking a Physical Therapist to join our close-knit team on a full-time or part-time basis. At Midland PT, we believe excellent patient care starts with giving therapists the time, autonomy, and support they need to practice well. Our therapists are never double-booked, every patient appointment is scheduled for a full hour, and each therapist works one-on-one with their own patient for the duration of the visit. A Schedule Designed for Patient Care—and Your Life. For a full-time Physical Therapist, the workweek consists of:37 patient-care hours per week3 paid hours per week specifically designated for documentation and paperwork40 paid hours total Every patient appointment scheduled for a full hour One-on-one patient care for every visit No double-booking—ever No evenings No weekends No major federal holidays We understand that life exists outside of the clinic. There is flexibility in how your hours are arranged throughout the week, provided the schedule also meets patient and clinic needs. Part-time schedules can be discussed individually. The clinic is closed for major federal holidays. When a holiday falls on a weekend, the clinic observes the holiday on the corresponding Friday or Monday. We also close the Friday after Thanksgiving as a paid holiday. Practice Physical Therapy the Way It Should Be Practiced Midland Physical Therapy has a longstanding foundation in orthopedic manual physical therapy and values skilled, hands-on care. Our therapists have clinical autonomy and the freedom to determine the appropriate plan of care for their patients. We treat a broad range of orthopedic and musculoskeletal diagnoses and support therapists in using their individual skills, training, and clinical judgment. Each therapist has their own private treatment room as well as access to the equipment and supplies needed to provide excellent care. Dry needling experience is welcomed but is not required; for therapists who perform dry needling, necessary supplies are provided by the clinic. And when we say we want our therapists focused on treating patients, we mean it. Our experienced front-office team handles scheduling and administrative responsibilities, including insurance verification, authorizations, and insurance billing. Our PTs aren’t expected to function as their own scheduler, authorization specialist, or biller. Your primary responsibility is being a Physical Therapist and caring for your patients.

New Graduates Are Welcome:
We welcome both experienced Physical Therapists and new graduates.
New clinicians will work alongside experienced PTs who are available for questions, collaboration, case discussion, and clinical support. Our practice owner is also readily available as a resource whenever questions arise.
We want our therapists to have independence without feeling like they’re on their own.
A Small Practice Where People MatterWe’re proud of the culture we’ve built at Midland Physical Therapy.
We’re a close-knit, family-first practice where coworkers genuinely know and care about one another. Our environment is relaxed and friendly while remaining professional and committed to excellent patient care.
We celebrate birthdays, have potlucks and Christmas lunches, and enjoy being together outside of the day-to-day work of running a busy clinic. More importantly, when life happens, family comes first.
We don’t believe good physical therapy comes from squeezing as many patients as possible into a schedule. Our therapists aren’t evaluated by how many patients they can juggle simultaneously. We want clinicians to be available for their scheduled patient-care hours, provide excellent care, complete appropriate documentation, and be a dependable part of the team.
Qualifications: Candidates should:
- Be graduates of an accredited physical therapy program
- Hold or be eligible to obtain a Michigan Physical Therapist license
- Be committed to providing individualized, patient-centered care
- Value collaboration, professionalism, and a team-oriented environment
- Have an interest in orthopedic and manual physical therapy
Dry needling experience and additional orthopedic/manual therapy training are welcomed but are not required.
New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
