Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees.What You'll Be Doing* Safely operate drilling equipment to support underground quarry production activities.* Perform drilling operations according to mine plans, production targets, and safety requirements.* Conduct pre-operational inspections and basic maintenance of drilling equipment.* Identify and communicate equipment, ground, or safety concerns to supervisors and team members.* Collaborate with quarry personnel to support efficient and productive underground operations.What Are We Looking For* Demonstrated ability to safely operate drilling or heavy equipment in an industrial, mining, quarrying, construction, or similar environment.* Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and compliance with operating procedures.* Mechanical aptitude with the capability to inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment.* Ability to read and follow mine plans, work instructions, and safety requirements.* Dependable work ethic with the ability to adapt to changing operational needs and priorities.Conditions of Employment* Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.* Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.Work Environment* Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.What We Offer* $28.76 per hour plus an additional $0.50 per hour underground differential.* Benefits through the Union for Medical, Dental, Vision and Pension.* Union paid vacation, sick leave and holidays.
